Day 16 - SUNDAY - 9 stone 6 lbs

Argh! The weight has levelled again. This seems to be the nature of the beast so be prepared for days when you don't lose weight and don't get disheartened by it. In the margin of my 2005 diet, I have written "I am looking thinner." This proves the results were beginning to show - how fab is that?

BREAKFAST (9am)
Cup of tea
1 wholemeal cracker

ELEVENSES (10.45am)
Cup of coffee

DINNER (1.30pm)
Shredded cabbage and carrot
Rocket
Half a tub of salsa
10 teaspoons of Rachel's bio-live coconut yoghurt

TEA (4.50pm)
One very small slice of bread
2 scoops guacamole
1 stick of celery
2 low calorie cheese biscuits and creamy gorgonzola

HIGH TEA (6.45pm)
A bowl of Mum's soup
Cup of lemon tea
Taste of mashed potato and piece of chicken skin (from the roast)

EVENING (7.20 pm)
Cup of tea
One glass of water

What a bad day for water. It looks like I forgot all about it until late in the evening. Don't you forget. It's very important to drink much more water than I show in the diet. These days I drink a minimum of four glasses every day - breakfast, dinner, tea and early evening. Water fills you up and doesn't contain calories, so that's a real plus. Here's another tip - fill up on low calorie foods - these include lettuce, rocket, asparagus, mushrooms (not fried - eat fresh or boil or microwave them), celery, cabbage, beetroot, cucumber, cauliflower, tomatoes, sprouts, courgettes, broccoli and onions. Apparently carrots are low in calories too, but oddly if you have a rabbit, it's a well known fact that you should only feed them carrots occasionally because they are fattening. I have two rabbits and they are very greedy when it comes to carrots - perhaps it's the sort of food they would eat until they burst. So I can eat loads of carrots, whereas my rabbits cannot.  Fresh fruit that is not too heavy in calories includes blueberries, apples, limes, lemons, oranges and grapefruit. I had a friend who went on a grapefruit diet and it looked like a real punishment, especially without sugar.
